I am very anxious for the Gosford waterfront to be open space and for the residents. This includes the Gosford Olympic Pool which should stay on its current site and be an outdoor 50m pool. It would clearly need to be upgraded into the 21st century and possibly be incorporated within an aquatic centre.

I would strenously resist any plans to build on the waterfront for profit, especially private dwellings.

What is planned for traffic flow in the CBD?
I suggest making Mann St and Henry Parry Dr DUAL LANE, ONE WAY from Donnison St to the 5 ways roundabout at Wyoming
(south on Henry Parry Dr & north on Mann St. The existing multiple lanes on Donnison St would distribute traffic not continuing south on Henry Parry to either Mann St south or Donnison St west)!
There is no shortage of cross streets to facilitate local traffic movement between these two roads.
Exposure for businesses on these roads would be higher as all traffic through the CBD would pass them.
I have discussed this with many professional drivers (including truck & taxi) and local residents.
All agree that this would be a great improvement.

The waterfront buildings should not present as blocks to water views from Mann St., Baker St. etc, as proposed on Tuesday. It defeats the purpose of visual connection from the CBD south over Brisbane Water. They should be located between the street extensions.
Insufficient account was taken of Narara creek flood currents along the eastern shore and possible siltation if a "hook" is placed into the floodwaters' path, as shown.
Hills St. is too hilly to be pedestrian friendly, as proposed.
How are the jobs to be created? This appears a design exercise from a helicopter perspective, not a sufficiently economics-driven exercise.
Delighted to hear passing mention of the performing arts complex.
Delighted to see indigenous thinking (and inevitably, a park name) come through re the interchanges at the southern end of the study area.

Council must stay in touch with the times and move on, you can't live in the past. You will never atract new bussiness to Gosford. You must allow new developments to take place.

I love the new Kibble Park. Saying that, I do think there should be more shade/covered areas, especially infront of the stage for summer events

Frankly I am a little surprised to not having been invited at some stage to the Gosford Challenge. As a commuter representative and secretary of the Central Coast Commuters Association, I am amazed that transport seems to have very little input to the Gosford Challenge. As seems usual in Gosford, transport is considered after everything else has been decided, hence our problems in the city area.

In view of the fact there are many people coming to live on the central coast, wouldn't it make sense to get the infrastructure right before you allow all the developements to go ahead.ie: roads, water, transport, and developments of car parks onto already choked with traffic roads.
